Provably Fair Bitcoin Roulette: How Our Wheel Works

Our in-house bitcoin roulette: a European single-zero wheel at 97.3% RTP, what every bet pays, how each spin is set by seeds you can check, and the maths.

We've added roulette to our in-house games, and we built it the way we'd want to play it ourselves: one zero on the wheel, the RTP printed on the game at 97.3%, and a way to check every spin after it lands. If you came here looking for bitcoin roulette, this is the version we'd point you to first.

Below is what you're actually getting, from the wheel and the payouts to what a night on it costs and how the fairness check works in practice.

What kind of wheel it is

Think of the wheel you'd find in most European casinos. Thirty-seven pockets, one green zero, numbers in the order you'd expect. Payouts are set as though there were only 36 numbers, and that gap between 36 and 37 is where the house makes its money. Nothing else on the table adds to it.

Run the numbers and you land on the 97.3% shown on the game. There's no la partage here, so a bet on red costs what any other bet costs.

Every bet on the layout, and what it pays

The payouts are the standard ones. A straight-up number pays 35 to 1, and a split pays 17 to 1. Rows, corners and six lines step down from there, and the dozens and columns pay 2 to 1. Red, black, odd, even, low and high all pay even money. Our roulette payouts and odds guide has the full table if you want every line.

Along the racetrack you'll also find the old French call bets. Voisins du zero spreads chips over the 17 numbers nearest zero, Tiers takes the 12 across from it, Orphelins picks up the 8 left over, and Jeu zero sits on the 7 closest to zero. They save clicking around the board when you want a whole section of the wheel.

What it costs per $100

Here's the bit most roulette guides skip. On this wheel every bet costs the same, about $2.70 for each $100 you put through it over time. A single number isn't a worse bet than red. It's a bumpier one. Red lands just under half the time and pays small, and a lone number turns up about once every 37 spins and pays a lot when it does.

An American wheel, with its extra double zero, takes about $5.26 per $100, so this is a good deal cheaper. If you mostly bet even money, a French table using la partage is cheaper still at $1.35, and French Roulette La Partage is one in our catalogue.

How each spin is set, and how to check it

Every in-house result comes from three inputs. A server seed is generated by our system and shown to you only as a hash before you play, so it can't be swapped afterwards. A client seed is yours to set, and a nonce counts up by one with every round.

The game combines them with HMAC-SHA256 to produce the number the ball lands on. When you reveal the server seed, a new one is generated for your next bets, and you can run any past spin through the verify page to confirm it matches. The provably fair overview shows the code.

What the check proves is that nobody changed a result after you bet. It doesn't change the 97.3% RTP, which is fixed by the payouts.

Stakes, races and rakeback

Chips go down to 0.00000001 of a coin, so you can play the whole layout on very small stakes and test a system without spending much. The game page also shows the daily race and weekly raffle, each with a $1,000 prize pool when we looked, and every spin counts toward your VIP Club progress, where rakeback starts at the first tier.

In-house wheel or a provider table?

Our wheel is fast, provably fair and priced at the standard single-zero rate. The roulette section adds live tables with a real croupier, a French table with la partage and multiplier games like Lightning Roulette.

Pick by what you want from a session. For speed and a result you can verify, the in-house wheel. For even-money bets at the lowest price, a la partage table. For the atmosphere of a real ball on a real wheel, the live tables.

Common questions

Is Jacks Club roulette provably fair?

Yes. Our in-house roulette sets every spin from a hashed server seed, your client seed and a nonce, and you can check any past spin on the verify page once that seed is revealed.

What is the RTP of bitcoin roulette?

On our in-house wheel it's 97.3%, the usual figure for a single-zero game. An American wheel pays back less. A French table with la partage pays back more, but only on the even-money bets.

Is any roulette bet better than the others?

On a single-zero wheel every bet costs the same 2.7%, so there's no cheaper bet, only different swings. The one real saving is playing even-money bets on a la partage table.

Can you play roulette with Bitcoin?

Yes. You can fund our roulette with Bitcoin or any other coin we accept, and the odds are the same whichever coin you use.
