Stake is one of the biggest names in crypto gambling, so if you're weighing up where to play, it's the obvious site to hold us up against. We've done that here, section by section, using Stake's own pages and ours as they stood on 16 September 2026. Where Stake comes out ahead, we've said so.
What is Stake?
Stake is really two sites. Stake.com is the crypto casino and sportsbook, run by Medium Rare N.V. in Curacao and licensed by the Curacao Gaming Authority under licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. Stake.us is a separate social casino for the US. It describes itself as free to play, says it doesn't offer real money gambling, and runs on Gold Coins, which have no cash value, and Stake Cash, which can be redeemed for crypto prizes.
When people search for Stake Casino they usually mean Stake.com, so that's the version we compare with Jacks Club below.

House edge on in-house games: Stake is cheaper
This is the part that matters most if you play originals, and it's the one where Stake wins. Stake's Dice, Limbo, Crash, Plinko, Mines, Keno, HiLo, Wheel and Video Poker are all listed at 99% RTP, a 1% house edge. Our Crash, Dice, Plinko, Mines, Keno, Hilo and Wheel run at 98%, which is a 2% edge.
In money terms, put $1,000 through one of those games and the house expects to keep about $10 at Stake and $20 with us. Over a long session that gap is real, and no amount of provably fair maths changes it.
A few games are level. Video Poker is 99% on both sites. Several of Stake's Originals, like Dragon Tower and Flip, sit at 98%, the same as our Tower and Coin Flip. Stake also has in-house table games we don't, including Blackjack at 99.43%, Baccarat at 98.90% and a single-zero Roulette at 97.30%. At Jacks Club those games come from providers instead, with the RTP shown on each tile.

Game library
Both catalogues are big enough that you won't run out of slots. Stake's casino page quotes more than 6,000 games. On our side, the slots section listed 7,816 games on 16 September, with 1,213 in table games and 1,033 in the live casino. Categories overlap, so don't add those together.
Counts move as providers come and go, so the useful check is whether a site carries the studios you actually play.
VIP, rakeback and rewards
Stake's VIP ladder starts at Bronze after $10,000 wagered and climbs through Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond levels to Obsidian at $1 billion. From Bronze, its rakeback is 3.5% of the house edge, paid back as cash. Sports bets count three times toward VIP progress.
Our VIP Club has ten tiers, from Iron at $5k XP to Royalty at $100M. Five benefits switch on at Iron and stay on all the way up: a level up reward, rakeback, a weekly bonus, a monthly bonus and a reload bonus. XP builds at the same rate on slots, live tables and the sportsbook.
The honest trade-off is transparency. Stake tells you its rakeback rate up front. We don't publish ours per tier. Your current rate shows in your account, and an account manager confirms it from Platinum upwards. What we can say is that rakeback switches on at our very first tier, Iron. Sportsbook
Both sites run a full sportsbook with esports alongside the traditional sports. The differences are in the details. Stake counts sports wagers at three times the rate for VIP progress, which suits a mostly sports player. We count casino and sports the same, which suits someone who does a bit of both.
Our sportsbook carries markets like Bet Builder and handicaps across football, tennis, the NFL, MMA and esports.
Coins and payments
Stake takes more than 20 cryptocurrencies. We take nine: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, USDT, USDC, XRP, Tron, Toncoin and Solana. If your coin of choice is outside that list, Stake is the easier fit.
Bets show in dollars at Jacks Club, and stablecoins like USDT and USDC keep your balance steady while a bet or a withdrawal is pending.
Which one suits you?
If you mainly play originals like Dice, Crash, Plinko or Mines, Stake's 99% RTP is the better price, and it's hard to argue otherwise. The same goes if you want a published rakeback rate or a coin we don't take.
Jacks Club makes more sense if you want rewards from the first tier, one XP rate across casino and sports, or a slots catalogue that went past 7,800 games when we counted. Whichever you pick, check the RTP on the games you play most. That single number decides more than any other difference on this page.
